Glenn Land Boer Goat Herd

Our new ranch has Walker Creek running through the center. Along the creek banks are large patches of willow and fig trees and blackberries so we decided to add Boer Goats to our animals to harvest this feed source. We currently run about 100 percentage and fullblood Boer does. The goats are doing a good job of reclaiming pastureland that is overgrown with blackberries, willows and figs. By using the best bucks we can afford, we have been quite successful in providing champion quality project goats to 4-H and FFA members, while selling select breeding does and bucks at home and at sales.

We had Reserve Champion Percentage doe, 1st place Spring doe kid, 2nd Fullblood yearling doe and placed no lower than 3rd at the Nugget All-American Sheep and Goat Sale in Sparks, Nevada in June, 2007, Champion Buck in 2008 and Champion Doe in 2009. We add new bucks each year to constantly improve the quality of the kids we produce.
